Martin Fernandez is an energetic and passionate Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area based freelance photographer. His primary specialty is action sports but he also enjoys editorial and portrait photography.

Martin began shooting while in the United States Army where he was a member of the 55th Signal Company, Combat Camera. His work has appeared in Soccer America Magazine, The Washingotn Post, the Catholic Standard, El Pregonero and various online publications and magazines.

Martin is an active member of the National Press Photographers Association, SportsShooter.com and YCJ Images, a small group of sports photographers who document professional sports in the DC Metro Area.

When he is not on assignment, Martin enjoys shooting snapshots with his Holga or iPhone, spending time with his wife and daughter and riding his Mountain Bike through the trails of Northern Virginia.
